Our meetings at the DSRM Club on Longfield Road Darlington DL3 0HX on April 3rd 2018

David Mathewman was our guest speaker tonight and gave a very informative talk on growing and showing of sweetpeas.

David has taken all the top awards in the Country for his sweetpea displays and members were igiven an insight to David's tips for preparing sweetpeas for exhibiting and growing for pleasure.

A selection of his top variety plug plants were available to buy.

It was certainly a very enjoyable and informative evening

Condolences - Albert Hawman

Sadly our oldest member Albert Hawman has passed away after a short stay in hospital.

Albert was 104, a keen Chrysanthemum grower and dedicated member of the society remained active even attending our late show on his 100th birthday when we first saw the late Chrysanthemum Albert Hawman (photo right) at a show.

Our thought are with Alberts family at this sad time.
